Nancy Hedin completed her MFA at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her work has been published in Sleet Magazine, The Minnesota Women’s Press, The Lake Country Journal, The Phoenix, The Midway/Como Monitor, and Rock, Paper, Scissors. She has been a pastor, a bartender, and a stand-up comic, and currently works as a crisis social worker. She lives in Arden Hills, MN with her wife and daughters.

Nancy Hedin is pictured here with novelist, Karin Kallmaker at the Golden Crown Literary Society’s Annual Conference. Bend was a finalist in two categories of fiction and was awarded Debut Novel of the Year for 2017. Foreword INDIES nominated Bend in both LGBT Adult and YA Fiction. Bend was given an honorable mention as LGBT Adult Novel of the Year for 2017. In June of 2018 Barnes and Noble included Bend in a list of the twenty-five books to read for Pride Month.
